And so our shoot em' up roleplay of blood and gore begins.

[Warning: Contains images of bloody zombies. And gore.]

This roleplay is just for the hell of it, and currently has no GM. Just have fun killing zombies, running away from zombies, killing bandits, scavenging for food, and struggling to survive.

So what else is there to say? LET'S DO THIS SHIT!

***

CHARACTERS
Red, played by Rock
Rose, played by Diggi

(that was totally unintentional, folks)

Location and Setting: Europe, UK
Time: Modern times
Status of zombie infestation: a few weeks after everything went to hell

****

The streets were silent as it was empty, littered by the rampaging hordes which had trampled and run over many sick bodies of the dying and the dead. The mark of everyday living - cars, garbage bins with the white recycle signs painted on them, benches, street lamps, window stores - all destroyed and crushed. Some burnt to a twisted crisp of hulking mass, barricading the alleyways, the roads, and even the way out of the destroyed city.

Windows and doors were barred by a ramshackle of wooden boards. There were a couple that were destroyed, as if bloodied fingers and hands had savaged through them.

And dead bodies.

Dead bodies mindlessly dragging their feet upon the asphalt, some prone and sagging on the ground, unclear if they were one of them. One of the dead with dried blood staining their pale and rotting cheeks, chins, and lips. They were placid for now. For now, they were not raving mad. But they were still hungry.

The very scent of death covered the once live city, turning it into a rank, unwanted destination for those desperate and suicidal. Those who had a death wish in their minds, or who couldn’t take this sort of life anymore.

And for those who have the biggest balls this side of the city.*

The zombies barely grazed her foot when they finally reached her, but they stood and stayed like hungry wolves, heads turned upward and their maws wide and frothing. Broken limbs reared forward, nails breaking on walls as they tried to grasp any object just to reach their prey.

Red could feel his sweat pour down his face, but he was certainly relieved to know Rose was going to make it.

“C’mon, let’s - “ there was a violent noise from behind the balcony glass windows, and Red couldn’t help but jump and cry out in surprise.

Of course, they had to clear the room first, but not while they were vulnerable like this. Red only hoped the glass wouldn’t break...

Rose grabbed Red’s hand and pulled herself up on the balcony, “That was exciting,” she said under the emotionless mask. She was enjoying this maybe a little too much.

Exciting? Well, Red wasn’t surprised Rose was desensitized to it all.

“Right,” he cringed when he heard another thump from the glass behind them. The man gripped his rifle tight, turning to look at Rose, “Bash or shoot?”

“Anything but shoot, I’d say,” she replied and pulled out her machete.

“Right.” Seeing how she was already armed with her machete, Red decided to ready his rifle anyway. Just in case.

Rose put her machete to the window, attempting to pry it open. “Ugh, it’s stuck,” she said, putting everything she could on the blade.

A hollow, and disturbingly wet thump startled Red. He managed to put himself together, ignoring the undead who was pressing his misshapen face against the glass; a sickly colored red smearing all over the dusty glass door. Fingers with nails hanging by the edge of its digits smacked on the surface.

There were more Red could see now, behind it. Shadows shifting, attracted by the noise.

“This is startin to look bad.” he said, after counting around four possible zombies in that room. Shit. He looked around the balcony they were currently occupying, the groaning and screeching of the dead reaching a deafening crescendo below them. Small space. Shit.
